100 Women Who Care

Thursday, January 19, 2012

5:30pm Glenmore Country Club

Join this amazing group of women who help our local charitable organizations.

We draw three local charities and they get 5 minutes to talk about why they should receive our donation.  Then the group votes and the charity with the most votes gets a $100 check from each and every one in our group.  We’ve donated thousands of dollars since our group began three years ago.

We meet in January, April, July and October.  Some of our recipients have been Meals on Wheels, The 1st Tee, The Food Bank, Virginia Service Dogs,

Live Arts, PACEM, Marty Whitlow Ovarian Cancer Fund, Caring for Creatures, and many others.

Check us out online at…http://wwc-cho.org

GOLF NEWS:

Jacked Up-Thursday, Jan 19

Ok golf fans it’s “Jacked Up” time again so let’s start thinking about our posture and set-up prior to the golf swing.

How you place yourself beside the golf ball will greatly effect how you will be able to complete your golf swing.

Please join me for a night of instruction and discussion on the proper way to set-up to the ball for the best possible results.

We will meet on Thursday January 19th at 5:30 PM and discuss this all important aspect of the golf motion for an hour.

I look forward to seeing each and every one of you regardless of your skill level.

The hour is free of charge, but the information will prove priceless.

18th Hole Drainage

We have completed the first phase of the 18th Hole Drainage project.  The next step will be to have smaller trenches

dug from the fairway to the larger trench in the left rough.  We appreciate your patience while this project continues,

and in the mean time….feel free to take a drop from the gravel!!

You will also notice a second hole on each green that is covered with a small disc.

We have added these so that we can move the pin during weeks when the ground is frozen.  This will help spread

the wear on the greens as well as adding the enjoyment of playing to different pin locations.
